Shonda Rhimes is a constant inspiration for my creativity. This is a quote from her Year of Yes book, which I've listened to over and over: “the only obstacle to your success is your own imagination.” It’s a great reminder to get out of my own way, to not put boundaries around my creative work.

Listening to her book is always such a joy, because she narrates it herself. I aspire to the way she tells stories through writing, media, and speaking. Plus it inserts the live recordings of many of her award and commencement speeches! The emotion of live storytelling hits my human heart harder than reading alone.
